SECTION 1: GENERAL INFORMATION

Where We Operate

We mainly operate at our premises at Cheshire Pony Parties, Willington Road, Oscroft, Chester CH3 8NL, but may also attend private parties, local fairs, and corporate events. Your booking confirmation will include full address and a map.

 

Who We Are

Cheshire Pony Parties is owned and operated by Amanda Keech, a lifelong horse enthusiast and mother of two. Amanda also operates Cheshire Chocolate Studio, providing chocolate workshops and parties for children and adults.

SECTION 2: PONY EXPERIENCES & ACTIVITIES (NON‑PARTY)

  • Activities must be booked and paid for at least 12 hours in advance.
  • We may cancel activities due to insufficient bookings or exceptional circumstances (including extreme weather). A full refund or transfer will be offered.
  • Payments for non‑party activities are non‑refundable. Changes may be possible with at least 1 month’s notice and incur a £25 admin fee.
  • Typically we provide one pony per 10–12 children, or one pony per booking.

SECTION 3: PONY PARTIES

  • Maximum 12 children with one pony; up to 16 with two ponies. Does depend on package chosen.
  • For parties at your home up to 20 children may be allowed with prior agreement.
  • Site visits may be required to assess parking, space, footing, and access.
  • Riding area should be level, grassed, with grass no taller than 10cm.
  • Off‑road parking for a car and trailer is required on suitably large, well maintained area with easy ability to exit the property.
  • Party ponies must be situated in a calm, safe environment away from loud activity.

 

Bookings, Deposits & Payments 

  • Bookings will only be considered on receipt of a completed booking form and receipt of the relevant deposit.
  • Bookings are not confirmed until confirmed by Cheshire Pony Parties
  • On‑site party deposit: £100
  • Off‑site party deposit: £200
  • Deposits refundable up to 3 months before the party (minus £25 admin fee).
  • Date changes possible if requested at least 1 month before the event.
  • Additional items (party teas, cakes, entertainers) must be paid in full at booking.
  • In winter we may offer additional flexibility.

Balance Due Date:

The remaining balance for your party becomes *due* **one month before the event date**. This means the balancing amount becomes payable to Cheshire Pony Parties at this point.

 

Payment Deadline:

Although the balance becomes due one month before your party, **payment** is not required until 10 days before the event. Any final changes in numbers/details must be confirmed at this point and will be reflected in the final balance.  The balance must be paid in full no later than 10 days before your scheduled party date. We reserve the right to cancel the booking if payment is not received by this deadline.

SECTION 3: ALL ACTIVITIES GENERAL OPERATIONS

  • Gates open 10 minutes before activity start time.
  • Activities start and finish promptly; late departures may incur charges.
  • Visitors must read the visitor information available online and with the booking confirmation. This provides a pin to the location.
  • All participants and accompanying adults must arrive and be ready on time to participate in the compulsory health and safety briefing.
  • We match ponies to the activity and participants’ ages.
  • We reserve the right to cancel bookings for any reason (eg bad weather) and will provide as much notice as possible. A full refund or transfer will be available.
  • Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • Minimum age for most activities: 2 years.
  • Riding hats must be worn (provided). Shoes must be ‘sturdy’ and have closed toes.
  • Children will be led at walk whilst riding.
  • No dogs, ball games, running or smoking on the premises.
  • Visitors must behave appropriately around ponies; disruptive children may be asked to step away.
  • You are welcome to take photos—We may occasionally take photos - please notify us if you do not consent to website/social media/marketing/other legitimate use.
  • While we strive to maintain a safe environment, participation is at your own risk.

SECTION 4: LIMITATION OF LIABILITY-PERSONAL, PROPERTY & VEHICLES

While we take all reasonable steps to maintain a safe and well-managed environment, Cheshire Pony Parties accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, or theft of personal property belonging to visitors, guests, or participants while on our premises or at any off-site location where our services are provided.

All personal belongings are brought onto the premises entirely at the owner’s risk.

This includes, without limitation, vehicles parked in our car park or on any part of our property, and any items left inside such vehicles. All vehicles are parked entirely at the owner’s risk.
